VINTAGE RETREAT
Situated in a quiet field of its own, this original 1870’s showman’s wagon is the perfect choice for individuals or couples wishing to have a peaceful country break.
The wagon boasts original windows, ceiling, floor and table and has been well insulated for comfort. It includes a king-sized bed, double gas burner, sink and fire pit and BBQ.
There are lanterns, an electric light, a fridge and heater. It has its own private toilet and shower complete with towels and bath robes. There is a garden and exercise field for dogs.
HILL VIEW
Situated in a paddock of it’s own at Venn Farm, Hill View Shepherd’s Hut is in a lovely quiet, position to enjoy amazing bird song each morning.
Your private shower and toilet is in the hut. You also have a small kitchen which has a sink, hot and cold running water, a fridge, a double hotplate, a toaster and everything you need to cook and enjoy some exciting meals if you choose to eat at home.
The Webber BBQ acts as a grill and oven. There is lighting and heating to ensure a cosy warmth in cold weather.
Both Shepherd's Huts
In both of the huts you have the choice of cooking inside or outside on the BBQ and firepit or, of course, you can walk to Chideock, where there are two lovely pubs that both serve excellent food or to Seatown where the Anchor is situated on the beach (approx. 2miles).
Alternatively walk to Symondsbury (approx. 40 mins) where you will find the Ilchester Arms and the Symondsbury Kitchen both serving amazing food inside or outside. All these pubs are dog friendly.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in both huts. There is a water hose to shower them off outside the old barn and we provide old towels for the dogs. There are numerous walks from the farm and many of these are available in the Manual which we will forward to you a few weeks prior to your arrival.
